Circuit Breaker Termination Kit

Dynamic Battery Sales & Service (DBSS) has developed its TopTerm and SideTerm line of battery termination kits to improve the installation and safety of virtually any battery application in the telecommunication industry. Specific kits have been developed for use with the Douglas, GNB, C&D, Power and East Penn VRLA batteries. There are two basic types of terminal kits, Side and Top mount for both Fused and Circuit Breaker requirements (see the price list for specific models). Also available in Custom configurations.

In the event of a short circuit, any battery system used for backup power can burn up the power cables if an over current protection device is not installed. The U.S. National Electrical Code (NEC) generally requires that all conductors be protected from overcurrent (Article 240). This protection can be in the form of fuses or circuit breakers that are both listed for the application (particularly DC voltage) and rated to interrupt both the nominal current and the possible fault current due to short circuits.

DBSS terminal kits allow overcurrent protection of the battery leads at the battery where a fuse or circuit breaker can provide the most protection. These products are routinely modified to specific requirements and are available for private labeling (contact DBSS for details).

Circuit Breaker Terminal Plate Kit

For Douglas DSV70-800 amp side mounted fuse holder. Engineered to mount to Douglas DSV models that use the OEM side mount terminal plate. A simular kit is available for use with batteries having top terminal plates.

• Landing positions for all 2-hole lugs (1” & 1.75”)

• Available remote trip can be activated by external switch or alarm systems.

Fused Terminal Plate Kit

Douglas DSV 70-800 amp side mounted fuse holder shown was engineered to mount to Douglas DSV models that use the OEM side mount terminal plate. A simular kit is available for use with batteries having top terminal plates.

• UL recognized pullout fuse holder with 70 to 800-amp Bussmann TPL fuse. Rated for 80 vdc.
• Landing positions for all 2-hole lugs (1” & 1.75”).
• UL 100,000 A.I.C.
• Blown fuse alarm relay option.
• Mounts in place of side or top terminal kit, standard side or top terminal kit used on opposite polarity.
• Easy field retrofit. Uses existing cable terminations for cost effective application.
• Can be used with a dummy fuse to act as a switch.
